The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has upgraded an investigation into complaints about the 2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans to an engineering analysis, one step closer to a recall. The investigation of 317,315 cars results from claims of fractured wheel studs, which could cause a wheel to come off. Ford's investigation is ongoing and no recall has been announced.
When the city of Beverly Hills puts on a concours, it picks a good location. The city owns the staid and stately Greystone Mansion, originally built in 1928 on a steep hillside above the city by oil tycoon Edward Doheney for his son, Ned. Andrea Pininfarina, Chief Executive Officer of the coachbuilding firm that bears his name, died in a moped accident in Turin this morning. He was 51. The accident took place on via Turin, the gateway to the Italian city, when a car crossed Pininfarina's path just before 8am.
